Choose what the code should do
Website codes open the entered address. Text codes carry a message without sending it to a website. UPI codes contain the recipient ID, name, optional amount and payment note. WiFi codes carry the network name, security and password.
Contact codes use a vCard with a name and optional phone, email, organisation and website. WhatsApp codes use an international phone number and can suggest a message; the visitor still chooses whether to send it. Scan behaviour depends on the device and app.
A design you can make your own
Choose from eight starting designs and twelve palettes, or select custom colours. Solid, linear-gradient and radial-gradient code colours work with square, soft-square or dot styles. The three corner patterns can use square or soft corners. Design options are grouped into expandable sections so the basic flow stays simple.
Upload a PNG, JPG or WebP logo, or place a clear code panel over a background photo. Photo layouts include crop positioning, zoom, fade and five code positions. Colour cards and photo cards support fine, double or rounded frames and a one-line caption above or below the code.
- Custom photos and logos stay on your device and are embedded in downloaded artwork.
- Photos sit behind an opaque code panel; they do not replace the readable code background.
- Frames and captions stay outside the clear margin.
- Reset the design without clearing the content fields.
Keep the finished code readable
Every design includes a clear margin at least four code squares wide. Dark colours are required against the light code background, including intermediate gradient colours. Functional scanning patterns are preserved; small logos avoid reserved pattern areas and automatically use high error correction. Extra correction increases code density and is not a guarantee of successful scanning.
PNG exports are available at 512, 1024 and 2048 pixels. SVG exports include the same artwork, with scalable code shapes and embedded images. Photos retain their prepared resolution. Very dense codes may need shorter content, a larger panel or a larger download size. Scan-check the finished file with the intended phone or payment app before printing or sharing.
- Use shorter content when the code becomes dense.
- Do not crop away the clear margin.
- Check the printed version as well as the on-screen preview.
- Review the encoded content independently of decorative captions and photos.
Sharing and private details
These are static QR codes: the content lives inside the image and the tool does not provide tracking or redirect hosting. The code does not expire on a timer, but a changed website, account, phone number or WiFi password may require a new code.
Anyone who can read a WiFi QR can obtain its password. Share that image only with intended guests. WiFi passwords are masked in the editor. The page Share icon sends only the tool address, without your QR content or settings.
For UPI codes, verify the recipient and amount in your payment app. The generator does not validate a bank account, provide an official merchant QR certification, or process a payment. Receiving money does not require approving a payment with your UPI PIN.
Frequently asked questions
›Which QR codes can I make?
Website links, plain text, UPI payment links, WiFi networks, contact cards and WhatsApp chats. Only the fields needed for your selected type are shown.
›What is the difference between PNG and SVG?
PNG is a square image at your chosen pixel size. SVG includes the same design but keeps the code shapes sharp when resized. Uploaded photos and logos are embedded at their prepared image resolution. Keep the clear margin in either format.
›Can I choose my own colours and gradients?
Yes. Open Colours, shapes & presets to use a palette or select custom colours, linear gradients or radial gradients. The tool blocks insufficient contrast. Scan-check the final design before using it.
›Can I add a logo or a photo background?
Yes. Upload a PNG, JPG or WebP image, up to 20 MB and 40 megapixels. Logos are kept small with high correction and reserved scanning patterns protected. Background photos sit behind a clear code panel, with zoom and crop controls. Both downloads include the images.
›Can I share a QR design with my custom images?
Download and share the finished PNG or SVG, which includes the design you see. The page Share icon sends only a link to the QR tool, without your content, images or settings.
›Do the codes expire or collect scan statistics?
The generator makes static codes with no expiry timer, tracking service or editable redirect. A destination or stored detail that changes may stop working until you generate a new code.
›Are WiFi passwords sent to a QR service?
No. Generation happens on your device. The password is still readable from the generated QR image, so treat that image like the password itself. The page Share icon does not include WiFi details or passwords.
›Does creating a UPI QR make or approve a payment?
No. It encodes the entered payment details. Scan with your UPI app to check the recipient and amount. The tool does not verify the account or complete any transaction.
