Invisible Character GeneratorInvisible Character — Copy Blank Text for Bios & Messages

About Invisible Character Generator

Need a blank Instagram bio, an empty WhatsApp message, or a space in a gaming name that the app refuses to accept? These are invisible Unicode characters — they look like nothing but count as real text, so apps accept them where a plain space gets stripped. Tap to copy.

Why a normal space doesn't work

Apps trim whitespace. When you type spaces into an Instagram bio or a WhatsApp message and hit send, the app strips them and treats the field as empty — so nothing posts. Invisible Unicode characters get around this because, to the app, they're real characters with real meaning; they just happen to render as nothing.

Different apps strip different characters, which is why several options are offered here. The Braille blank (U+2800) is the most widely accepted — it survives Instagram, WhatsApp and most games. Hangul filler (U+3164) works where Braille fails. Zero-width space (U+200B) is the most fragile and gets stripped by many modern apps.

What people actually use these for

The common uses, and which character tends to work:

  • Blank Instagram bio or a bio with line-break spacing — Braille blank usually survives Instagram's trimming.
  • Empty WhatsApp or Discord message (the classic silent-message prank) — Braille blank works on both.
  • Gaming names with spaces (Free Fire, BGMI) where the game blocks plain spaces — try Braille blank first, then Hangul filler.
  • Aesthetic spacing in usernames and captions, without the app collapsing your gaps.

Honest limits

This is a trick that works against app behaviour, so it breaks sometimes. Apps update their filters, and a character that worked last month may get stripped this month — if one doesn't work, try the next. Some apps also reject characters they don't recognise, showing an error rather than a blank.

Two things to know: screen readers for blind users may announce these characters oddly, so don't build important content around them. And don't use invisible characters to hide text from moderation or to impersonate someone — platforms detect that pattern and it's a fast route to a ban.

Frequently asked questions

›How do I make a blank Instagram bio?

Copy the Braille blank character above, paste it into your bio field, and save. A normal space gets stripped by Instagram, which is why the bio stays as-is; an invisible Unicode character counts as real text so it's accepted.

›How do I send an empty message on WhatsApp?

Copy an invisible character (Braille blank works best), paste it into the message box, and send. WhatsApp trims plain spaces so the send button stays disabled, but it accepts the invisible character as a real message.

›Which invisible character works best?

The Braille blank (U+2800) is the most widely accepted — it works on Instagram, WhatsApp, Discord and most games. If it fails, try Hangul filler (U+3164). Zero-width space is the most likely to be stripped by modern apps.

›Why did my invisible character stop working?

Apps update their text filters regularly, and a character accepted last month can be stripped this month. Try a different type from the list — that's why several are offered. It's a workaround, so it's never permanently guaranteed.

›Can I use invisible characters in a Free Fire or BGMI name?

Often, yes — many players use them for spaces the game otherwise blocks. Braille blank tends to work best. Some games reject unrecognised characters outright, so test before committing to a name change.
